New PlayStation 5 Console

New PlayStation 5 Release

It’s not often that a new console like the new PlayStation 5 is released.

But when it does, it’s a big deal

Like it was on November 12, 2020 when the PS5 was released to some of the world – North America, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand.

And this was just two days after the release of Microsoft’s next-gen consoles the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

The PlayStation PS5 is a real upgrade from the PS4, which came out in 2016.

Uses Cutting Edge Graphics

With brand new hardware putting out cutting edge graphics, the PS5 is sure to be a hit with any PlayStation gamers. The PS5 will play all of the latest games, and is backwards compatible with the PS4 library

Two Main Editions

There are two main versions of the PS5, a standard edition and a digital edition.

The main difference between the two is the standard edition has a disc slot. This enables you to play physically purchased games on CD.

However the digital edition, as the name suggests, only plays games downloaded from the internet.

The digital edition is a bit slimmer, because it doesn’t have the disc slot. It’s also a bit cheaper than the standard edition.

Digital Edition Still Able To Access All PS5 Games

All the new games coming to PS5 will be available for digital download. This means the digital edition won’t be missing out on any major releases.

It’s just that some gamers still prefer having a physical game library with discs and cases they can take off the shelf.

Improved and Powerful Hardware

Either version of the console performs just as well thanks to its powerful hardware.

Every part of the PS5 is more powerful than the previous PS4. The new CPU runs faster enabling gamers to run more demanding, visually impressive and complex games.

High End Graphics Processor

The graphics processor is high end, and has an impressive array graphic stats. It’s capable of running at 4K resolutions, and even up to 8K, which is a rarity.

This means you’ll see extremely high definition gameplay consistently.

Great FPS And Refresh Rate

Typically, with resolutions that high, you’d see a sacrifice in the frames per second, or FPS.

However, that’s not the case here.

The PS5 runs at 120 FPS and a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes things look incredibly smooth and fluid.

Combine the resolution with the high framerate, and you get ultra-realistic gameplay.

Significantly Upgraded PS5 Peripherals

The PS5 control is more comfortable than ever, and has some interesting features.

It has sense of touch or haptic feedback spread throughout the controller.

This means you’ll feel the rumble features wherever it’s actually appearing on screen. Intensity will vary depending on what’s happening in the game.

Control Has Adaptive Trigger Buttons

The control has adaptive trigger buttons on the back.

Depending on what’s happening in the game you may have to apply more pressure as you pull the trigger.

For example if you’re pulling a bowstring you might feel it tighten the further back the trigger is pulled. Just like in real life.
